PLUR — TERMS & CONDITIONS
1. Introduction
1.1 These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) constitute a legally binding agreement between Plurit Technologies Private Limited (“Plur”, “we”, “us”, “our”) and any individual or entity accessing or using our Services (“User”, “you”, “your”).
1.2 These Terms govern your access to and use of the Plur mobile application, website, web applications, content, products, features, APIs, and all associated services (“Services”).
1.3 By accessing or using the Services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms, along with our Privacy Policy, Content Guidelines, Community Rules, and any additional policies we may publish.
1.4 If you do not agree to these Terms, you must immediately discontinue use of the Services.
2. Definitions
For these Terms:
2.1 “Platform” means the Plur mobile app, website, and related digital interfaces.
2.2 “Event” or “Scene” means any event, party, meetup, gathering, experience, or activity listed or hosted through Plur.
2.3 “Host” means any User (individual or entity) who creates, posts, manages, or organizes an Event via Plur.
2.4 “Attendee” means any User participating in or attending an Event.
2.5 “User Content” means any data, text, photos, videos, descriptions, messages, audio, graphics, or materials uploaded by you.
2.6 “Booking” means any reservation or ticket purchase (present or future).
2.7 “Intermediary” refers to Plur’s legal status under the Information Technology Act, 2000.
2.8 “Personal Data” has the meaning assigned under applicable Indian data protection laws.
3. Eligibility
3.1 You must be at least 18 years old to use the Services.
3.2 You must have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract.
3.3 You must not be prohibited from using the Services under applicable law.
3.4 Plur may refuse registration, suspend accounts, or restrict access at its sole discretion.
4. Account Registration
4.1 To access certain features (including hosting, messaging, and future ticketing), you must create an account.
4.2 You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information and keep it updated.
4.3 You may not create an account using:
- False information
- Another person’s identity
- Disposable or fraudulent contact details
4.4 You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
4.5 Any activity conducted through your account is deemed authorized by you.
4.6 You must notify Plur immediately of unauthorized access or security breaches at hr@plurit.app.
5. Business / Host Accounts
5.1 Users hosting Events must create a Host Account or Business Account when applicable.
5.2 By creating a Host account, you confirm that:
- You have authority to represent the entity (if applicable).
- All information submitted is accurate.
- You assume full responsibility for all Events you host.
5.3 Plur may require verification (KYC, identity proof, venue proof, or additional documentation), but:
Plur does not guarantee or represent the verification, safety, legality, authenticity, or identity of any Host.
6. Plur’s Role as a Technology Intermediary
6.1 Plur is a technology platform and an intermediary as defined under Section 2(1)(w) and Section 79 of the Information Technology Act, 2000.
6.2 Plur:
- Does not own, operate, manage, or control Events.
- Does not verify or screen Hosts, Attendees, venues, or Event content.
- Does not supervise or guarantee safety, legality, or quality of Events.
- Is not a party to any agreement between Host and Attendee.
6.3 Plur is not responsible for:
- The conduct, actions, or omissions of Users
- Fraudulent, harmful, illegal, or inappropriate behavior by Users
- Safety, conditions, or suitability of any event location
- Offline interactions between Users
6.4 All dealings between Hosts and Attendees are independent private arrangements.
6.5 Plur will, when required, cooperate with law enforcement but assumes no duty to investigate.
7. Safety Disclaimer — Maximum Protection Clause
This section is intentionally strong to protect Plur from liability.
7.1 By using Plur, you acknowledge and agree that: All offline interactions, meetings, and event attendance involve inherent risks, including without limitation: injury, assault, harassment, fraud, theft, property damage, emotional harm, and death.
7.2 Plur does not:
- Verify identities, backgrounds, criminal records, or intentions of any User
- Inspect or validate private venues, homes, or event locations
- Guarantee safety, behavior, or actions of Hosts or Attendees
- Guarantee that Events will occur as described
- Intervene in disputes, misconduct, or criminal acts
7.3 You assume full responsibility for evaluating:
- The safety of an event
- The legitimacy of a Host or Attendee
- Whether to attend or interact offline
7.4 Plur shall not be liable for any harm, injury, loss, damages, or misconduct arising out of:
- Your attendance at any Event
- Your visit to any Host’s home or venue
- Your interactions with Users
- Criminal acts by Users
- Misrepresentation or fraudulent Events
7.5 If you feel unsafe, do not attend the Event and report the issue to hr@plurit.app.
8. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to:
- 8.1 Violate any applicable laws.
- 8.2 Harass, stalk, threaten, or harm others.
- 8.3 Organize harmful, illegal, unsafe, or exploitative Events.
- 8.4 Upload illegal, obscene, defamatory, hateful, or violent content.
- 8.5 Promote alcohol or drugs to minors.
- 8.6 Use the platform for prostitution, escorting, or sexual solicitation.
- 8.7 Run fraudulent or misleading Events.
- 8.8 Impersonate any person or entity.
- 8.9 Engage in data scraping or unauthorized data collection.
- 8.10 Introduce malware or harmful software.
Violation may result in immediate termination and referral to authorities.
9. User Content Rules
9.1 You solely own your User Content but grant Plur a broad license detailed below.
9.2 Prohibited Content includes:
- Violence
- Sexual exploitation
- Child endangerment
- Hate speech
- Nudity (unless event-appropriate & lawful)
- Illegal activities
- Misinformation for harm
- Scams or misleading claims
9.3 Plur may remove or disable content at its sole discretion without notice.
10. License Granted to Plur
10.1 By uploading content, you grant Plur a worldwide, irrevocable, perpetual, royalty-free, transferable, and sublicensable license to:
- Use
- Store
- Publish
- Reproduce
- Distribute
- Display
- Modify
- Create derivative works
for purposes of operating, promoting, and improving the platform.
10.2 Plur may use your name, username, profile photo, and public content for promotional or display purposes.
11. Media Release Clause (from 8club)
By attending or hosting any Event where participation was arranged or listed through Plur, you expressly grant Plur:
a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free, irrevocable license to capture, use, edit, reproduce, publish, and distribute any photographs, videos, or media featuring you for:
- Marketing
- Advertising
- Promotional activities
- Social media
- Commercial use
- Research
without notice, approval, or compensation.
If you disagree, do not attend Plur-organized or Plur-listed Events.
12. Event Hosting Rules (Host Responsibilities)
Hosts must:
- Provide accurate Event descriptions
- Ensure Event safety and legality
- Comply with all local laws and permissions
- Ensure venue suitability (especially private residences)
- Prevent harassment, discrimination, or illegal acts
- Manage attendee conduct
- Handle on-ground security, access, safety, and compliance
- Honour commitments, timings, and details
Hosts bear full legal liability for all actions, events, omissions, and consequences arising from their Events.
13. Attendee Responsibilities
Attendees must:
- Verify safety and legitimacy of Events
- Exercise personal caution
- Behave lawfully and respectfully
- Follow Host rules
- Not consume illegal substances
- Not engage in harassment, assault, or disruptive conduct
Attendees acknowledge: You attend Events entirely at your own risk. Plur is not responsible for your well-being.
14. No Verification Disclaimer (Strong)
Plur does not conduct any background checks, identity verification, criminal record checks, safety checks, or vetting of Users, Hosts, Attendees, or Venues.
Plur makes no representation regarding:
- Identity
- Reliability
- Moral character
- Intentions
- Legitimacy
- Safety
- Criminal history
You assume all risk.
15. Booking, Payments & Refunds (Future-Ready)
15.1 Plur may introduce ticketing or booking features in the future.
15.2 When launched:
- Payments will be processed through third-party gateways
- Plur will not store full payment data
- Refunds will depend on Host policy
- Plur will not be liable for payment disputes
15.3 Until official launch, any offline or external payments between Users are entirely at their own risk.
16. Fees & Charges
Plur may:
- Charge convenience fees
- Charge Host listing fees
- Offer paid promotional placements
- Introduce subscription plans
All fees will be disclosed before charging.
17. Communications
By using the Services, you consent to receive:
- Notifications
- Emails
- SMS
- In-app messages
- Marketing communication
You may opt out of marketing but not essential communications.
18. Third-Party Links & Integrations
Plur may contain links to third-party:
- Websites
- Payment processors
- Social networks
- Booking systems
- Marketing platforms
Plur is not responsible for any third-party actions, policies, or failures.
19. Intellectual Property Rights
Plur owns:
- Logos
- Branding
- App design
- Codebase
- Trademarks
- Databases
Users may not copy, reverse engineer, or exploit Plur IP.
20. Data Processing
All data collection is governed by our Privacy Policy.
21. Suspension & Termination
Plur may suspend or terminate accounts for:
- Violations
- Fraud
- Safety risks
- Illegal behavior
- Inactivity
Termination is at Plur’s discretion.
22. Force Majeure
Plur is not liable for events beyond reasonable control, including:
- Natural disasters
- Internet outages
- Civil unrest
- Government actions
23. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Services are provided “as is” and “as available.”
Plur disclaims all warranties, including:
- Merchantability
- Fitness
- Accuracy
- Reliability
- Security
24. Limitation of Liability (Maximum Protection)
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
Plur shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, physical, psychological, financial, reputational, or other damages arising from:
- Event attendance
- Host or Attendee conduct
- Criminal acts by Users
- Misleading or fraudulent events
- Offline interactions
- Personal injury, assault, harm, or death
- Loss of data
- Platform downtime
- Third-party actions
Total liability, if any, shall not exceed INR 1,000 or the amount paid to Plur in the past 3 months — whichever is lower.
25. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Plur from all claims, damages, liabilities, fines, costs, and expenses arising from:
- Your use of the platform
- Your participation in Events
- Your misconduct
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your interactions with Users
26. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of India.
All disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of competent courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka.
27. Dispute Resolution
Parties shall attempt amicable resolution first.
If unresolved, disputes may be referred to:
- Arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996
- Sole arbitrator appointed mutually
- Venue: Bengaluru
- Language: English
29. Intermediary Safe Harbour (IT Act §79 Compliance)
29.1 Plur is an intermediary under the Information Technology Act, 2000.
29.2 Plur does not:
- Initiate transmission of user content
- Select the receiver of transmission
- Modify user content
29.3 Plur is not liable for any third-party information, data, or communication link made available or hosted by Users.
29.4 Plur shall qualify for safe harbour protection as long as it:
- Does not conspire in illegal acts
- Does not knowingly host unlawful content
- Removes unlawful content upon receiving actual knowledge or valid takedown notice
29.5 Users agree that Plur has no obligation to monitor all content, events, or interactions.
29.6 Plur may remove content or suspend accounts:
- To comply with law
- To protect Users or the public
- Upon receiving a complaint
- At its own discretion
30. Objectionable Content Policy
30.1 You are strictly prohibited from posting or sharing content that includes:
- Nudity or pornographic material
- Child sexual content
- Graphic violence or abuse
- Hate speech
- Extremism or terrorism
- Harassment or bullying
- Discrimination
- Misinformation intended to cause harm
- Illegal activities (drugs, weapons, trafficking)
- Blackmail or extortion
30.2 Violations may result in:
- Immediate account termination
- Reporting to authorities
- Content removal
- Legal action
30.3 You may report objectionable content to hr@plurit.app.
31. Host–Attendee Disputes
31.1 Plur is not a party to any dispute between Users.
31.2 All disputes relating to:
- Event cancellations
- Attendance issues
- Refunds
- Safety
- Injury
- Fraud
- Misrepresentation
- Payment issues
must be resolved directly between the Host and the Attendee.
31.3 Plur may, at its sole discretion, offer limited assistance but shall have no obligation to mediate or resolve disputes.
32. Event Cancellation, No-Shows, Modifications
32.1 Hosts may modify or cancel Events at their discretion.
32.2 Attendees acknowledge that:
- Events may be rescheduled or cancelled
- Hosts may deny entry
- External factors may affect event execution
32.3 Plur shall not be liable for:
- Travel costs
- Damages
- Missed expectations
33. Law Enforcement Cooperation
33.1 Plur may cooperate with law enforcement agencies in cases involving:
- Criminal activity
- Safety threats
- Fraud
- Harassment
- Violations of law
33.2 Plur may share:
- Account details
- IP logs
- Device identifiers
- Chat records
- Event hosting details
when legally required.
33.3 Plur is not required to:
- Monitor user communications
- Predict harmful behavior
- Prevent crimes
34. Security Limitations
34.1 Plur uses commercially reasonable measures to secure data.
34.2 However, Plur does not guarantee:
- The platform is free from hackers or malicious software
- Prevention of unauthorized access
- Absolute security of data transmissions
34.3 Users accept that:
- No platform is fully secure
- User actions may compromise security
- Plur is not liable for breaches beyond reasonable control
35. User Device & Network Requirements
35.1 Users are responsible for:
- Internet connection
- Device compatibility
- OS updates
- Browser settings
35.2 Plur is not responsible for:
- Failed downloads
- App crashes
- Device incompatibility
36. Age-Restricted Events
36.1 Some events may require Users to be:
- 18+
- 21+ (alcohol events)
- 25+ (certain venues)
36.2 Hosts must clearly specify age restrictions.
36.3 Attendees must comply with restrictions and present valid ID if requested.
36.4 Plur is not responsible for:
- Underage attendance
- Misleading age information
- Host–Attendee disputes relating to age compliance
37. Alcohol, Substances & Controlled Activities
37.1 Hosts must comply with local alcohol and safety regulations.
37.2 Plur does not endorse:
- Excessive drinking
- Drug use
- Illegal substances
37.3 Plur shall not be liable for:
- Drunken misconduct
- Overdose
- Injury due to intoxication
- Illegal or unsafe activities
38. Risk Acknowledgement
38.1 By using Plur, you acknowledge and agree that Activities and Events may expose you to risks including:
- Physical harm
- Property damage
- Emotional distress
- Exposure to unsafe conditions
- Interactions with strangers
- Third-party negligence
- Host or attendee misconduct
38.2 You voluntarily assume these risks and release Plur from all related liability.
39. Geographic Limitations
39.1 Plur may not be available in all locations.
39.2 Access to certain features may depend on location permissions.
39.3 Plur is not responsible if:
- Laws in your region restrict usage
- App features vary by territory
40. Reporting Safety Issues
40.1 Users may report:
- Unsafe events
- Misconduct
- Violations of terms
- Criminal activity
- Fraud
via email or app reporting tools.
40.2 Plur may take action but assumes no obligation to intervene.
41. Events at Private Residences
This clause is critical for your protection.
41.1 Many Plur events may occur at homes or private venues.
41.2 Plur does not:
- Inspect homes
- Validate addresses
- Evaluate safety
- Confirm ownership or permission
41.3 You acknowledge the following: Attending events in private homes involves substantial personal risk.
41.4 Hosts assume full legal and civil liability for all:
- Injuries
- Misconduct
- Sexual harassment
- Assault
- Theft
- Altercations
- Property damage
- Violations of law
41.5 Plur shall not be liable for incidents occurring at private residences.
42. Event Recordings & Public Sharing
42.1 Events may involve:
- Photos
- Videos
- Public sharing
- Livestreams
42.2 By attending, you consent to the media release clause (Section 11).
43. Use of Plur for Illegal or Immoral Purposes
Strictly prohibited:
- Escorting, prostitution, solicitation
- Human trafficking
- Drug distribution
- Money laundering
- Violence or weapons
- Pornographic or explicit meetups
- Voyeurism
- Hate groups
Violations result in permanent termination and referral to law enforcement.
44. User Ratings & Reviews
44.1 Plur may allow Users to rate Hosts or Events.
44.2 Ratings must be:
- Honest
- Fair
- Non-defamatory
44.3 Plur may remove ratings at its discretion.
45. In-App Messaging
45.1 Messaging must not be used for:
- Harassment
- Spam
- Threats
- Solicitation
- Scams
45.2 Plur does not monitor all messages but may investigate reports.
46. Content Removal Requests
46.1 You may request removal of your content.
46.2 However, deletion is not guaranteed if:
- Required for legal compliance
- Shared by other Users
- Used for promotion prior to deletion
- Backups still contain the content
47. No Guarantee of Event Outcomes
Plur does not guarantee:
- Event quality
- Attendance
- Social compatibility
- Matchmaking outcomes
- Atmosphere
- Host professionalism
48. Intellectual Property Complaints
48.1 Submit takedowns to hr@plurit.app.
48.2 Requests must include:
- Proof of ownership
- Description of infringement
- URL and screenshot evidence
Plur may act at its discretion.
49. System Abuse
Examples include:
- Creating multiple accounts
- Using bots
- Scraping or harvesting data
- Attempting to hack the app
- Circumventing bans
- Abusing refunds (future)
Result: Immediate termination.
50. API Access
50.1 No User may use automated tools, bots, or scrape the Platform without written permission.
51. Modification of Services
51.1 Plur may modify or discontinue features at any time.
51.2 Users are not entitled to compensation or refunds for discontinued features.
52. Plur’s Right to Remove or Ban Users
52.1 Plur may remove Users for:
- Violating Terms
- Safety concerns
- Criminal behavior
- Hostility toward others
- Platform abuse
No appeal is guaranteed.
53. Third-Party Analytics & Tracking
Plur may use:
- Analytics tools
- Behavioral data
- Crash logs
- Device data
All governed by the Privacy Policy.
54. Beta Features
Beta features may:
- Malfunction
- Produce inaccurate results
- Be discontinued
Users assume all risk.
55. Platform Downtime
Plur is not responsible for:
- Maintenance outages
- Server failures
- Cloud hosting issues
- Third-party downtime
56. No Employment or Agency
Using Plur does not create:
- Employment
- Partnership
- Agency
- Joint venture
- Franchise
between Users and Plur.
57. Assignment
57.1 You may not assign your rights.
57.2 Plur may assign these Terms to:
- Affiliates
- Successors
- Acquirers
without notice.
58. Notices
58.1 Plur may send notices via:
- SMS
- In-app alerts
- Website postings
58.2 Users must maintain updated contact details.
59. Severability
If any clause becomes invalid:
- The remainder still applies
- Invalid clause will be replaced with closest enforceable wording
60. No Waiver
Failure to enforce rights does not constitute waiver.
61. Entire Agreement
These Terms + the Privacy Policy constitute the entire agreement between Users and Plur.
62. Survival Clauses
The following survive account deletion:
- Indemnity
- Media license
- IP license
- Liability limitations
- Governing law
- Dispute resolution
